DJ session with champagnes by G.H. MUMM on the inimitable terrace of Hotel 1898, La Isabela.
Wednesday nights have their own name: Barcelona Deejays Sessions by MUMM, a DJ session in an incomparable setting, the terrace of Hotel 1898, La Isabela, in the heart of Las Ramblas in Barcelona. An ideal enclave in which to enjoy music with a good cocktail.
These DJ sessions will invite us to travel through styles such as the Soulful, the Disco, the Deep House or the Indie Dance, setting the pace to such an unbeatable environment, with Barcelona at our feet.
In addition, and exclusively, these sessions will come paired with an aperitif accompanied by the excellent French champagne Cordon Rouge, G.H. MUMM, with its characteristic and subtle balance between freshness and intensity.
The legend of Cordon Rouge was born in 1876, when G.H. MUMM decided to decorate a limited number of bottles with a diagonal silk band in red (in reference to the Legion of Honor) and sealed them with an oval label, all as a tribute to some of their most prestigious clients.
This champagne, of cuvée style, goes through a long and complex elaboration process in which each step is fundamental for the quality and perfection of the final product. To ensure that each cru (municipalities or regions of origin of the grapes) expresses its individual character, the grape varieties of the 77 Crus that are used to make G.H. MUMM Cordon Rouge (Montagne de Reims, Grande Vallée de la Marne, Vallée de l'Ardre, Côte des Blancs, Sézannais and Côte des Bars) are pressed and vinified separately. These grapes from a single harvest are combined with 25% to 30% of reserve grapes, which add complexity and fullness to the final blend. Expedition liquor is also added in a dose of only 8 grams per liter. Lastly, G.H.MUMM Cordon Rouge rests in the brand's cellars for two and a half years, almost double what is legally required.
The aromatic richness obtained at the end of the process, make Cordon Rouge an ideal candidate to enjoy during the aperitif, or in the perfect accompaniment to taste white meats and fish.
