Pedralbes Gardens Festival
The biggest names in international music perform at one of the city’s newest music fests, held annually in the Pedralbes Gardens, and presenting a series of outdoor concerts enjoyed within a beautiful natural environment.
History, summer, nature, food and drink, fresh air… and music, lots of music. Those are the principal elements that have given the Pedralbes Gardens Festival a national reputation, and made it a fan favorite in a quick six years. A large part of its popularity lies in the high quality and tremendous impact of its featured participants, year after year. The 2019 lineup is sure to measure up, with performers like Carla Bruni, Mariah Carey, Diego ‘el Cigala’, Woody Allen, Ana Belén, Juanes, Supertramp and the inimitable Beach Boys.
On top of the music itself, the Festival also makes way for food and drink, a component which actually plays an important role in the event; concert-goers can enjoy delicious cuisine and marvelous views from the intimate open-air terrace of the Palace, before the show begins. And the fest also features a village with a markedly peaceful atmosphere, live music featuring emerging artists, and a vast array of casual dining options to relish before or after the concerts.
The festival is also a great way to get a first-hand experience of one of Barcelona’s most beautiful gardens, an idyllic spot for strolling, running, or resting. Lush with exotic species like Himalayan and Atlas cedars, the venue is part of the Palace of Pedralbes, the former residence of Eusebi Güell, patron of the great Antoni Gaudí. The remarkable property was used by Royal Spanish family as their residence during visits to the city, and also features various works designed by Gaudí himself.
